Lillian Simmons is a Libertarian candidate for the Texas House of Representatives, District 52, mostly in Williamson County.

"Some of the issues are taxes, transportation, education, terrorism and all other issues that affect the wellbeing and prosperity of all Texans. These issues need the attention of a freedom loving naturalized legal secretary," says Mrs. Simmons.

Lillian Simmons was born in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States when Communism took over her native country. She has been a legal secretary for ten years, and has lived in Texas on and off since 1992. She has a website on Cuba freedom issues at www.yrose.us/Cuba/Cuba.htm . She has one daughter and one grandson.

She subscribes to the Libertarian concept of personal freedom where an individual's actions should be constrained only where they cause harm or loss to others.

The incumbent Larry Gonzales, has one of the lowest scores in the Libertarian vote index for the last legislative session. This index rates congressmen on their votes for lower taxes and less government. Link to the index: index
