The Latest from Havana: They Gotta Be Kidding
Residing up here in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, I am not
able to watch many television programs originating in Cuba, my country of
birth. Particularly at this time of course, I wish that I would have such
capability. A few hours ago though, a dear friend of mine, called and told me
that in the Cuban television program titled "Mesa Redonda" (Round Table), a
Cuban Government official had stated that, "Fidel Castro's health is no one's
business, that it's a State Secret."
And this is the Government and socio-political system that the U.S.
Chamber of Commerce, and members of the Council on Foreign Relations, like
David Rockefeller and Peter Peterson want American businesses to trade with?
Sometimes, if not all the time lately, I just think that the entire Cuban
scenario has turned out to be nothing but a tragi-comical Italian surrealistic
type of film.
