Wuenche BBQ Sauce


1 large can tomato juice
1 cup brown sugar
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1 lemon, chopped including peel
1 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons worchestershire
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/3 tablespoons thyme dried, crumbled
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Tabasco


Combine all in medium saucepan.
Simmer 45 minutes.

This is a regional BBQ sauce of the Central Texas area and is known as the "Wuenche recipe".
