Several Hispanic associations of Austin have come together to form the Council of Hispanic-American Associations. This association will bring great benefits to the Hispanic population of Austin. The groups represent the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
We are sure other sister countries will join the Council later on.
The Council has decided to celebrate a Hispanic Heritage Day again next October 2003. We will present folkloric dances and cultural information of the various countries.
We wish to do this presentation in a theater building. We are expecting a crowd of 2,000 people.
This event will be promoted through all means of communication and it will attract people from nearby cities.
We solicit your support for the success of what we consider to be a unique event of a series of events which will enrich the cultural life of the City of Austin.
