Title: Decision for Disaster: Betrayal at the Bay of Pigs
Author: Grayston L. Lynch

Description: The author, Grayston L. Lynch (Minaret@aol.com ,June 27, 1998

This is the definitive work on the Bay of Pigs Invasion When the 2506 Assault Brigade—a force of U. S.-trained Cuban exiles—invaded Fidel Castro's Cuba in April 1961, I was the CIA's case officer on the Brigade's command ship. I led the first combat team ashore, handled every communication between Washington and the beachhead, and spent three agonizing days at the battle's end rescuing survivors...Decision for Disaster is my eyewitness account of what really happened. It is based on my observations before, during, and after the battle, as well as on recently declassified information. It is the action-filled personal account of a historical watershed, the impact of which is still felt strongly today.

"Gray Lynch was there at the Bay of Pigs and was in the perfect position to write the definitive ground-level account of what went wrong. His anger toward the men at the top is the anger of a patriot who feels he was betrayed. This is not a book for those who love Camelot." —Seynour M. Hersh

Title: Politics of Illusion : The Bay of Pigs Invasion Reexamined (Studies in Cuban History)
Author: James G. Blight (Editor), Peter Kornbluh (Editor)

Description: A reader from Texas , August 4, 1998

Historical information on Kennedy and the invasion. If I could I would give this book 10 stars. This book is by far the most interesting and historical concerning the people on both sides of the spectrum of the invasion. Contains not only personal information of those involved but all of the mentioned documents are contained at the end of the book, many of which have never been seen before. Also, contains information on the actual knowledge of what Kennedy knew concering the invasion.
